Rameen Hashmi joined ODP as a Research Analyst in January 2024. She supports activities for several strategic priorities including analyzing NIH investments in prevention research and assessing their impact as well as facilitating collaborative research across the NIH and federal government.

Prior to this role, Ms. Hashmi supported portfolio analysis activities for ODP and other government agencies. In earlier work, she worked at the Virginia Department of Health as a Community Health Worker and Case Investigator. She also worked for Migration and Refugee Services and assisted in analyzing programs to improve refugee health in Virginia. 

Ms. Hashmi received a Master of Public Health from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
